Wayne Carpenter
Wayne started his volleyball career in Charlotte where he founded the first mens’ club volleyball program at his high school. After high school Wayne moved to Spain where he played for two seasons on the Ballentine’s 4-man Beach Tour, which was Spain’s pro tour for the beach scene. Wayne was also on board as assistant coach at this time for El Instituto Cabo De Las Huertas Women’s volleyball team where he coached for one season only before moving back to the States. Upon returning home, Wayne played four years with the UNCW mens’ club program where he served as club president three years, and team captain two years. Wayne currently coaches the JV’s at Hoggard High School.
